This year, I have to get unbreakable ornaments because DD is grabby and throws everything,but I love buying Christmas decorations, and I might get the ones from my stepmum that her mum made, so that will remind me of when I was a kid.

ReplyDeleteMy family goes down to experience "Now Snowing" every year. Since we don't get snow in Florida our community has a nightly event with music, santa, live performances and "snow" fall! It's so fun

ReplyDeleteMy favorite tradition is opening a present on Christmas Eve. When my grandmother was alive, we opened her present on Christmas Eve. Since she passed away, its pajamas and a Christmas movie we watch before going to bed.
DeleteI'd have to say that my favorite Christmas tradition is the giant family get-together on Christmas Eve. The entire family gathers and we stay up talking, joking, reminiscing, etc. Then at midnight we open all the gifts. Usually, the kids go to bed soon afterward and the adults stay up talking some more.

ReplyDeleteFavourite Tradition is spending Christmas eve with my brother, my sister and her family, my other sister, and my parents. That night has and always will be the night where we all get a little closer to one another. We are still really close after all of these years, even if we don't get to see each other as much as we want. It doesn't matter if the last of us arrive at midnight.. we always spend the whole night sharing and laughing.

ReplyDeleteMy favorite Christmas tradition is having our family Time of Jesus dinner...which is where we all bring food to eat that would (or might) have been available at Christ's dinner. Fish, dates, honey, nuts, olives, pomegranates, etc...Sometimes we have to get a little creative, and sometimes things are much more modern, but it's always a special time. We usually turn off all the lights and use oil lamps, too. Love this tradition!
