When May rolls around we all tend to get excited. Not just because the warmer weather is upon us but because in our house that means Birthday Season has arrived! All of our kids were born May - Oct. We have 1 in May, June, August, 2 in Sept and October. My hubby is in June and I'm in July. So not only do we have a lot of celebrating and fun going on, but we eat a lot of cake. A LOT OF CAKE.
This year so far we've had 2 of the kids Birthday's and yesterday was my hubby's Birthday.
My sister in law dropped this off for him yesterday as a wonderful surprise, and it was delicious.
Back in the beginning of June, June 6th was Jayden's 5th Birthday....
And of course, May 11th was little Jackson's 3rd Birthday... He's OBSESSED with Cars.
We are really lucky my sister in law does them for us. She does a great job too! They are really delicious. She was doing this for fun and to make a bit of cash but she's decided to just do it for friends and family for the time being, and we aren't complaining :)
I guess when planning our family we really didn't think due dates, or Birthday's through all that much. It's a lot having Birthday's back to back, but we do it and I don't see any of the kids complaining.
Jordan and Justin are a few days apart for Birthday's too. Jordan is September 7th and Justin is September 9th, and my Brother is the 10th. Kind of neat how that all worked out, and Jordan thinks its fabulous his little brother ALMOST came on his Birthday. He did want to share - He thought it would be really cool, even if the age gap was 10 years!
Did you plan for when your kids due dates would be and when they'd be born? Did you space them out or not worry about it like us?
I have 2 boys and they are 13 days apart - in August. I am July, so there are a lot of summer birthdays here, too.
ReplyDeleteBest SIL evah! Such creative cakes. Happy birthday season!
ReplyDeleteLovely cakes. My hubby, one of our sons and myself are 3 days in a row which is pretty cool it was not planned but worked out good.
ReplyDeleteWow, that is a lot of cake! Thanks for sharing some seriously cute ideas!
ReplyDeleteI love all those cakes! Your sister in law is quite talented.
ReplyDeletethose are some fabulous cakes! The breakfast cake made me smile.
ReplyDeleteThese cakes are amazing! Your sister-in-law is quite the decorator. We did not plan my son's due date (well, I agreed to the induction date.) :)
ReplyDeleteOMG - those cakes are amazing! I'm not a baker - so I always get cakes from the bakery. I have to try to spice it up a bit and ask them to do something fun and whimsical for our next birthday celebration!
ReplyDeleteThose cakes are INCREDIBLE!! I love to bake, but I'm not creative enough to do any sort of decorations like that. Awesome!!
ReplyDeleteYou guys have the most awesome cakes I have ever seen!! Love them. I'm not real good at decorating cakes but boy mine sure do taste yummy and are made from the heart so I get no complaints! :)
ReplyDeleteYour sister-in-law does do a nice job. It's nice to have talent in the family. :)
ReplyDeleteOh gosh I love that breakfast cake. That is amazing! So cute. Chrystal @ YUMeating.com
ReplyDeleteThose cakes are amazing! How thoughtful of your sister-in-law!
ReplyDeleteIf we planned them we need lessons in planning! In our house My son's birthday is the 12th November, my middle daughter is 24th and I'm 25th. Because obviously the month before Christmas isn't expensive enough!
ReplyDeleteJust amazing cakes. Love the way they are decorated.
ReplyDeleteEven my pregnancy was a surprise so we didn't plan her due date at all :P That breakfast cake is adorable, especially the bacon!
ReplyDeletewe had fertility issues. so no dates planned. ours are july 19 august 7 september 5!
ReplyDeleteI clearly did not space out the birthdays. My daughter's birthday is one day before the twin's. In addition, the month of September is when the majority of my siblings were born, with other family member's birthdays falling around there. We also have a lot of cakes, but we also have a lot of fun.
ReplyDeleteWow! It must be super fun in your home! I wish I was your neighbor. Lol
ReplyDeleteGreat cakes. I have friends with kids only a few days apart. It all works out in the end! :)
ReplyDeleteThose are some pretty epic cakes! We didn't think about due dates either! Son's birthday, Thanksgiving, Christmas and then Daughter's birthday within 2 1/2 months!
ReplyDeleteWow those cakes are terrific! So colorful and so creative
ReplyDeleteAll of those cakes are great! Your husband's though, that is awesome!
ReplyDeleteWhoa these cakes are awesome! I love the egg one!
ReplyDeleteWe have tons like that in our family. My mom is in March, my birthday is actually 4 days after hers, my brother's is in May as is my cousins, my niece is in June and my nephew is in July. It's just birthday party after birthday party from March until December in our family, January and February are our breather months lol.
ReplyDeleteWe have 3 December birthdays. 18, 19, and 3. Plus all of the holiday baking goodies makes for a sugar induced month! The cakes are all fabulous!
ReplyDeleteWe adopted #2 and #3, so we had no control over due dates. We have a birthday in December, February, and April. I think that is nicely spaced.
ReplyDeleteWe wanted our daughter to be born a little later, since her month is jam packed! But God had other plans :)
ReplyDeleteHa! I love the egg cake! Way to cool and a lot of imagination went into it!!
ReplyDeleteThose cakes are so cute. All our birthdays fall in the winter.
ReplyDeleteOur 5 boys are well spaced by sheer luck. We have February, June/July (boy #5 is due next week!!!), October, November, December. Hubby and I are also in November, so the challenge for us is getting through the holiday season!
ReplyDeleteWe did not plan due dates so we have no shared months with any of our 4 kids. However, one child shares the same month as my husband and one child shares the same month as I do. And most of our family birthdays fall in those months too (August and December). My kids all share a birthday with someone we know though. It's fun that way! :)
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday months to you and your family! :D
Those cakes look super awesome! I love them and I bet they are every bit as tasty as they look!
ReplyDeleteWhat wonderful cakes, I really liked them. I bet they tasted as great as they looked. I loved the cakes and I wish I was half as talented as you are.
