#imPress Manicure Canada VoxBox

Monday, May 19, 2014

I was excited when I got the notification that I was getting the imPress Manicure Canadian VoxBox from Influenster. I am a nail biter, oops! I know horrid. So, I thought this would be perfect to try to help me quit biting. I had received impress press on manicure nails before in my very first VoxBox ever and although they didn't last super long I was hopeful this time.

I got two sets. Both I liked, but I adored the greyish pair. SO PRETTY.

The pink ones didn't last long sadly, they fell off within an hour. I changed multiple diapers and washed my hands quite a few times but I was disappointed because they are so pretty.

I decided with the 2nd pair I would cut them to where I would feel comfortable and safe to go about my daily duties. These lasted much longer... 2 days to be exact! HORRAY.

I'm extremely active. I change diapers all day long, I wash my hands A LOT, and type on the computer non stop as well as lots of texting. So I knew they wouldn't last as long as most, but I really enjoyed having them stay on longer than an hour this time!

They are super easy to apply. Simply clean your nails, and pull of the sticker under the nail and apply. No extra glue or anything needed. Easy right? So easy in fact I the extra nails on my girls and they thought it was the best thing and showed everyone their beautiful nails.

please note, I did receive imPress press on manicure samples from Influenster for free for the purpose of testing and reviewing. The opinions and thoughts expressed here are solely 100% my own and factual, I did not receive any other compensation for my test or review.

#MysteryBrand Revealed: Garnier Fructis Damage Eraser

"Formulated for distressed, damaged hair"

I am thrilled to announce the MysteryBox I got from Influenster not too long ago was Garnier Fructis! In fact it was Garnier Fructis Damage Eraser, and it's amazing!

The 2nd box I received after the test mystery samples featured some great Full Sized products in the Damage Eraser line: Damage Eraser Shampoo, Conditioner, Split End Bandage and Strength Reconstructing Butter. MMMM.

I have been using this product for just over 2 weeks now and I can honestly say I do see a difference. I absolutely love the smell of these products, and the Split Ends Bandage is totally up my alley because I suffer from split ends :x I rarely get to the hair dresser so I'm hoping this helps until I get there for my next appt!

So far, I've noticed not only is my hair much shiner, it's also got a lot more bounce and looks much healthier.

Besides absolutely loving the Split End Serum, I love the butter. It helps strengthen your hair and contains phyto-keratin complex with plant based proteins and fruit concentrate & cupuaƧu Butter, with natural lipids. To be used weekly after shampooing.

So I am happy to say I was right when I suggested after a few uses on twitter that it was a Garnier product. I had no idea it would be a fructis line - as I can't use the normal fructis due to the smell triggering my migraines, but this Garnier Fructis Damage Eraser? Not only smells heavenly, but is perfect for my hair. I will continue to buy and use this product as I am finding a big difference in my hair already!

Be sure to head on over to the Influenster site to sign up if you already haven't! You don't want to miss out on these great boxes filled with goodies to test out and promote! It's a lot of fun, and a surprise every time!

Influenster #MysteryBrand VoxBox!

Tuesday, February 04, 2014

I thought I was lucky enough to be among the first picked for the very 1st Canadian VoxBox but now I can't believe how lucky I was to be chosen for this one! The new Mystery Brand Vox Box!

I got the e-mail last week saying I qualified and I needed to take the survey to see if I would be picked.
I took the survey and was sad to find out at the end my hair wasn't right for the box!

Yesterday when the kids walked in my daughter announced "Mom! You got a package!" I look up and there it was... The new Mystery Vox Box!

Pretty sneaky Influenster! I was very surprised, and excited. I opened it and right away you could smell something amazing. I opened it and there was 3 small sample bottles. No brand, no label only saying Sample and L'Oreal Canada plus what they were: Shampoo, Conditioner and Split End treatment which is perfect for my hair oddly enough! I can't even begin to wonder what brand this is, but I'm really eager to find out!

I waited until this morning to test them out as I am having major ear issues at the moment and I wanted to make sure I got to really enjoy the samples because, hello! Who doesn't love smelling something sweet and rich - it truly smells heavenly.

I am going to use up these samples for the week and I will be back next week to share how much I loved, or didn't love it (but just from one use I can already safely say I will enjoy it!)

Be sure to head on over to the Influenster site to sign up if you already haven't! You don't want to miss out on these great boxes filled with goodies to test out and promote! It's a lot of fun, and a surprise every time!

Back on January 2nd 2013 I signed up for Influenster. I fill out a bunch of surveys, left some reviews about products I enjoyed and didn't go back for a while because it was not yet available to Canada. About 2 weeks ago I got an e-mail saying I qualified for the 1st ever Canadian box called #MapleVoxBox

I was so stoked. I clicked the link to take the survey then I waited. Last week I signed in to see and I had the badge and the next morning? The awesome box jam packed was at my door! I was really surprised to see how much was in the box and the fact they weren't samples, but actual sizes of the products was a huge plus for me. I was so impressed. I am going to review each product individually on the blog and today I am reviewing the Mascara that was in the box called "NYC Big Bold Curl" in Black.

REVIEW: NYC Big Bold Curl Mascara

I am really picky when it comes to mascara. I hate when it clumps and I hate when I have to constantly fix it or touch it up. I didn't have that problem with NYC Big Bold Curl.

I was able to put it on with the big brush it comes with, and not have to worry about clumps. I was worried with how big and chunky the brush is, but was impressed by how smooth and quick it went on with the bigger brush.

My Eye lashes aren't very long, but they do curl pretty well themselves so I  was surprised when I put it on and it immediately gave them more volume and it was a noticeable difference. The photo above doesn't really give a perfect representation of it because it was hard to capture but you can see a difference.

My favorite part of the mascara besides the immediate volume was the fact it didn't have any smell like some mascara's I have tried. I can't use any product on my face that has any scent what-so-ever due to migraines, so this was a huge plus for me. Even the smallest scent trigger my head.

I left it on for about 6 hours and it was still perfect by the end of the time. It was easily removed by my make up pads, and I was extremely happy that it came off so quickly.

Retailing for $4.99 it is inexpensive and would be perfect for every make up bag! I am extremely happy with NYC Big Bold Curl, so much so it will now be the first thing I reach for when getting ready in the morning. Great product, I would recommend.
